Communication
In June 2020 a car crash left Joe with a traumatic brain injury, a broken neck, and nearly a year in a wheelchair. Twenty-five years of designing for other people became, almost overnight, a practice of rebuilding a self.
The network is what that rebuilding produced: forests built in VR became murals, the studio’s process became a platform for artists, the road became a journal — and the whole story became a keynote.
