Micro bio (one line)
Designer, founder, and keynote speaker. Creator of The Rebuild Method™. He doesn't teach bouncing back — he teaches building forward.
Short bio (~50 words)
Joe Jackson is a designer of 25+ years, founder of Digital Landscaper and the Artist Growth System, and the creator of The Rebuild Method™ — a seven-move framework for building forward through change you didn't choose, drawn from the year he spent relearning how to walk after a car crash.
Stage introduction script
Our next speaker spent twenty-five years designing for other people. In June 2020 a car crash left him with a traumatic brain injury, a broken neck, and nearly a year in a wheelchair. What he built on the other side of that year became The Rebuild Method™. Please welcome Joe Jackson.
Full bio
Joe grew up making things. Twenty-five years of design work — brand systems, learning platforms, VR environments, campaigns for clients who needed a room to feel a certain way before anyone said a word. He founded Digital Landscaper to do that work at scale, and later built the Artist Growth System to hand the same craft to artists who had the talent but not the map. Then June 2020. A car crash, a traumatic brain injury, a broken neck, months in a brace, and close to a year in a wheelchair. CRPS pain in his right foot that still hasn't fully left. Somewhere in that hospital room came the sentence he now opens with: the man who woke up here is not the man who is going to walk out. What followed wasn't a comeback. It was a redesign. Joe used every tool he had — design thinking, visualization, breathwork, VR nature immersions he built for himself when he couldn't reach a real forest, stillness, and eventually prayer. Anger first. Then prayer. Then forgiveness, then gratitude. His father died during that stretch, and the phrase his dad left him — gratitude is my attitude — became the load-bearing wall of the whole thing. That process turned into a sequence, and the sequence turned into a talk. The Rebuild Method™ is seven moves for people living through change they did not choose: patients, clinicians, leaders in the middle of a hard quarter, creatives whose work stopped working. Joe tells it from two chairs — the patient's and the designer's — because he has sat in both, and because the room needs to hear that resilience is built, not summoned. He speaks to healthcare and rehabilitation conferences, leadership teams in unchosen change, wellness and nervous-system audiences, creative organizations, and faith gatherings. Faith is named plainly and scaled to the room: direct in a church, present but unforced in a hospital. No altar call, no protocol, no promise of a timeline.
The long-form story lives on the speaker bio page.

You Don't Bounce Back — You Build Forward.
Flagship keynote · 45–60 minIn June 2020 a car crash rewrote my life: traumatic brain injury, a broken neck, nearly a year in a wheelchair, and chronic pain that still visits. This talk is what I found on the other side of trying to recover the old version of me — a deliberate, designed process for building the next one.
- 02
Designing the Room Around Recovery
Healthcare & rehabilitation · 45 minA patient's perspective on the environments recovery happens in — and what design can do about them. I spent months looking at ceiling tiles. This is what I wish those rooms, and the people in them, had been designed to do.
- 03
Intuitive Resilience™ for Creative Teams
Leadership & creative culture · 45 minTwenty-five years designing for other people, two companies built, and one year that broke the whole system. What I learned about creative work under pressure — and why intuition is a discipline, not a mood.
- 04
The Rebuild Method™ Workshop
Half-day workshop · 2–4 hoursThe framework, worked through rather than watched. Small groups move through all seven steps with guided stillness, imagination work, and a written next-step commitment each person leaves with.
The flagship keynote is published in full — every slide and the entire spoken transcript, 8 sections as delivered. Committees who want to read the talk before booking can do it right here. It is printed in the media kit PDF too.
